Holiday Recipes with Ham!

 

 

HAM IN CHERRY SAUCE

 

Ingredients:

1 pear-shaped Ham in can

1/2 C cherry syrup (from the cherry bottles)

1/2 C pineapple juice

2 Tbsp brown sugar

salt

 

Directions:

Heat pan on low heat

Melt brown sugar in pan

Pour in pineapple juice and then the cherry syrup

Stir to blend, and simmer till slightly thickened

Drop the ham and coat it with the syrup.

Bake ham at 350 degrees F for about 10 minutes

 

HANGOVER CURE SOUP

 

Ingredients:

3 C chicken stock

1 C leftover Ham

1/4 or 1/6 of a whole cabbage

1/4 of a large cucumber

salt

 

Directions:

Bring chicken stock to a boil

Bring to a simmer.

Dice or cube the leftover ham.

Drop into the simmering stock.

Finely mince (chiffonade) the cabbage and add to the stock.

Peel and cube cucumber and add to the stock.

Simmer for another 10 minutes or till cabbage is cooked through.

season with salt, if needed.

 

HAM & CHEESE QUESADILLA

 

Ingredients:

4pcs Tortilla Sheets

4 pats butter

1/2 C grated quick melting cheese

1/2 C Mozarella Cheese

1 C minced leftover Ham

 

Directions:

On low heat melt butter and flatten a tortilla sheet on melted butter.

Sprinkle with cheeses and minced ham.

Top with another sheet of tortilla.

Gently press on the top tortilla sheet to let cheese melt and tortillas to stick together

Flip over and cook for another 1 minute.

Remove from pan and slice before serving.
